Sen Ahmad Malam Madori mainstream political journey officially began in 1993 when he contested for the seat of national assembly under the social Democratic party SDP platform, he was declared the rightful election winner in a landmark judgement of electorate from the two local govts .
Desolution of the election and democracy in 1994 by the military Junta, and reconstruction of new political parties in 1998 marked a new chapter of Sen Ahmad Abdulhamid political career . As he was appointed minister which make him focused more on political commitments .

In 2023 after winning election as Senator , Malam Madori was appointed chairman senate committee on police affairs, further cementing his influence in Nigerian politics.
