Students from SLU received cash award of #50,000 each by Sen Ahmad Abdulhamid to support academic pursuits
The Senator representing Jigawa North East has empowered not fewer than 24 students with a cash award of N50,000 each to support their academic undertakings
The education support programme was held inside UBJ Conference hall in Hadejia coordinated by M Musa Muhammad Iyan heart , and witnessed a large turnout of undergraduate students from Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa
The programme that was designed as an intervention for twenty-four (24) graduating students selected from the eight Local Government Areas of the senatorial zone .The lawmaker reaffirmed his dedication to investing in education as a critical tool for human capital development and sustainable growth in his constituency .
The intervention benefited twenty-four (24) graduating students selected from the eight Local Government Areas of the Jigawa North-East Senatorial District, reaffirming the Senator’s dedication to education, youth empowerment, and human capital development.
Speaking during the disbursement exercise, the coordinator of the exercise , Musa Muhammad (Iyanheart), described the initiative as a reflection of Senator Ahmad Abdulhamid’s unwavering commitment to supporting young people and ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic success.
According to him, each beneficiary received Fifty Thousand Naira (₦50,000) to assist with graduation-related expenses, including project research, printing, binding, clearance procedures, and other academic requirements.
When asked on the students selection criteria, Musa further explained that it was conducted with the highest level of transparency, accountability, and fairness. All beneficiaries were accredited on presenting a valid Certificates of Indigene ship issued by their respective Local Government Areas as proof of eligibility before receiving the support.
Also speaking on behalf of all the benefiting students , President of the Jigawa State Students Association (NAJISS), Sule Lamido University Chapter, Comrade Sa’idu Ismail, expressed profound appreciation to Senator Ahmad Abdulhamid Mallam Madori for the timely intervention like this and continued support for students across the senatorial district.
He went on clarify that, each Local Government Area was allocated three beneficiaries of two male students and one female student, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to twenty-four.
Comrade Sa’idu noted that the programme reflects the Senator’s strong commitment to educational advancement, youth development, and gender inclusion.
Eventually , one of the distribution committee members Muazu Abdulaziz express concern over the gesture : we sincerely thank Distinguished Senator Ambassador Ahmad Abdulhamid Mallam Madori for this generous support. The intervention has come at a critical time and will significantly ease the financial burden associated with completing the students academic programmes,” he stated.
A total of # 2.1 million was distributed leaving all the 24 students expressing gratitude to the Senator, saying, “His intervention is legendary and impactful in easing the financial burden faced by students.” And we appreciate him for this gesture.”
