JIGAWA ALGON debunked rumour of Funds deductions

 All local government of Nigeria association ( ALGON ) Jigawa state wing has debunked the rumour on social media alleging a leaked document of an unlawful deductions from the 27 local government funds in the state .

Chairman of Dutse municipal council Hon Sibu Abdullahi who is also the Jigawa state wing of ALGON Chairman , reject the allegation in a press released through his special advicer on media and publicity Abdulrazaq Adamu Dutse , correcting the impression created on the document circulated , saying that the paper is an internal administrative process which is undergoing endorsement .

Commenting on the contributions mentioned in the document , Dr Sibu said , it is just a collective developmental efforts by Local Government leadership, aimed at strengthening public service delivery at the grassroots level.

For further clarity, the ALGON Chairman confirmed that the funds referred are not being transferred to the State Government account. They are meant for direct procurement from contractors and suppliers responsible for providing services and equipment that benefit Local Government Areas on different aspects.

Dr Sibu therefore appeal to Jigawa State law abiding citizens to remain focus on the good policies of Governor Umar Namadi , saying that his government and that of local Government Councils remain committed to transparency, constitutional governance, and policies that directly improve the lives of our people.

It may be recalled that last week , a paper was released through a social media handle of one Zakari Kafin Hausa containing a revelation on Local Govt funds , stating that Some Local Governments chairmen alleged denial of their rightful allocations and unnecessary deductions , something that sparked rancour between the chairmen and the state as well as their subjects in the local councils .
