Jigawa state executive council approved feeding of over 7•9 million people during Ramadan period

The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved the implementation of a Ramadan Feeding (Iftar) Program aimed at supporting vulnerable residents and ensuring access to nutritious meals during the holy month of Ramadan.

A total of 640 feeding centers will be opened across the state. This includes two centers in each of the 287 wards across the 27 Local Government Areas Additional centers will operate in higher institutions, correctional facilities, and humanitarian shelters to ensure inclusivity and broad access.

The program is expected to provide meals to over 264,600 people daily Over the course of Ramadan, this will reach more than 7.9 million meal servings statewide.
