Yakubu Iyegbeni encounter with NFFL official for his flight ticket fee inside plain during his days as a super eagles player.
“There was a competition we played, and we flew to London. After we were eliminated, I wanted to fly back, and I asked for my ticket money. The guy said, ‘When next you come, you’ll get your ticket money.’
“I refused to accept that; because I did not want my money to enter voice mail. Another Benin boy, Bright Igbinadolor, was alao there that day.
“I just grabbed the official’s waist and said, ‘Yoy must give my ticket money today.’ Bright also grabbed the other guy.
“It was about 1,000 or 2,000 back then. So, they told us to sign, which we did and they gave us our money. That’s when we left them,” Aiyegbeni recounted.
