In a significant step towards enhancing sports and community development, the Emir of Hadejia, Alhaji Dr. Adamu Abubakar Maje, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the proposed Race Course site along Malam Madori Road, near Modachi village in Hadejia City. The Emir received a warm welcome from the District Head of Malam Madori, Alhaji Muhammad Sale, Dokajon Hadejia, and other distinguished figures from the area.
Accompanied by the Project Coordinator, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Sarkin Arewan Hadejia, the Emir toured the expansive site, which has been generously allocated 50 hectares by the Jigawa State Government for this ambitious project. This modern facility is set to feature a Horse Racing Track, Polo Pitch, Football Pitch, and Basketball Court, with construction already underway on key components such as the Horse Racing Track and Pavilion, along with essential drinking water provisions.
During his visit, the Emir expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Umar Namadi Danmodi and the numerous philanthropists who have shown unwavering support for the Race Course initiative. He emphasized the need for contractors to expedite their work in preparation for the highly anticipated 2026 Horse Racing Competition, slated for January 14, 2026.
The Emir reaffirmed the Emirate Council’s commitment to fostering initiatives that promote sports, unity, and community growth.

Additionally, Alh Tijjani Kassim, the workaholic Chairman of the Hadejia Turf Club, was present at the site and provided the Emir with an insightful update on the project’s journey from inception to its current stage.
As this project progresses, it stands to become a beacon of hope, unity, and recreational joy for the Hadejia community.
