The Jigawa North East representative in the red chapter , Sen Ahmad Abdulhamid Malam Madori has applauded Governor M Umar Namadi for a peaceful and rancour-free conduct of the Jigawa state All Progressives congress, describing it as a historic milestone that reaffirmed unity and internal cohesion within the party.
The congress, which was held on Tuesday 3rd March 2026 at Aminu Kano triangle in Dutse , drew hundreds of delegates and party faithful from the 27 local government areas of the state.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Umar Namadi said the seamless congress reflected discipline, maturity and a shared commitment to progress among party members which was conducted from wards, local govt to state levels
He said despite the Ramadan fast and the scorching heat, our members demonstrated unity and decorum. Governor Namadi further stated that,
“This is a true reflection of our party’s symbol — the broom — which signifies strength in togetherness”, said Namadi .
In his remark on the congress shortly after the governor’s speech , while attending to Journalist at the venue of the congress , Sen Ahmad Abdulhamid of Jigawa North East thanked party elders and stakeholders for sustaining harmony within the APC and pledged to consolidate on the foundation laid by past leaders to ensure enduring stability.
He congratulated the newly elected state executives, expressing confidence in their experience and capacity to steer the party forward.
The senator also commended the national and local congress committees for ensuring a transparent and hitch-free process, insisting that Jigawa remains one of the most peaceful states in the country.
Hon Ahmad Garba , a former deputy speaker of the Jigawa state house of assembly and serving commissioner ministry for land and housing emerged as the state party chairman , while Hon Nasiru Dahiru Jahun will serve as his deputy. Others to lead the party includes
