Our attention has been drawn to a widely circulated statement containing serious allegations, inflammatory language, and unsubstantiated claims against the station and its staff. Written on a Facebook page by one Ibrahim Zakari Alkampaly copied and posted in another Facebook page of one Kabiru Alhaji Kore , shared in another Facebook page of one Salisu Dan kyauye .
For clarity, public record, and fairness, the following points must be stated plainly before the management of the station should take legal line of action .
1. Fa’ida Radio is not an anti-party platform
FA’ida Radio Mallam Madori is a legally established community radio station operating within the framework of Nigerian broadcasting laws and regulations. The station is not affiliated with any political party, nor does it serve as an instrument for anti-party activities against the APC or any other political organization.
2. Commitment to professionalism and NBC regulations
The station operates under the guidelines of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC). Programs aired are designed to inform, educate, and provide space for civic engagement. Allegations of hate speech, incitement, blackmail, or breach of peace are serious criminal claims and must be supported by verifiable evidence, recordings, timestamps, and formal complaints—not emotional accusations circulated on social media.
3. Right to public discourse and accountability
A free and responsible media has the duty to host discussions on governance, development, and public interest issues. Constructive criticism, policy debate, and citizens’ questions do not amount to anti-party activity. Holding public office holders to scrutiny is not hostility; it is a democratic responsibility.
4. No evidence of bribery or blackmail
Claims that FA’ida Radio or its staff collect tokens to blackmail individuals are defamatory. Such allegations damage reputations and institutions and should only be made before competent authorities with proof. Until proven otherwise, these claims remain false and misleading.
5. Respect for APC leadership and public office holders
FA’ida Radio maintains respect for the Governor of Jigawa State, the APC leadership, and all elected representatives, including the serving lawmaker referenced (MMR/KGM). At no time has the station declared the APC government as “failing” as alleged; rather, it has provided platforms for discussion on achievements, challenges, and community expectations.
6. Use of security agencies as intimidation is unacceptable
Copying security agencies and party headquarters into a public accusation does not validate false claims. Institutions such as the DSS and Police rely on facts and evidence, not politically charged narratives. Media intimidation undermines democracy and community harmony.
7. Clarifying the founding purpose of FA’ida Radio
FA’ida Radio was established to serve the people of Mallam Madori and surrounding communities through education, public awareness, religious enlightenment, and development-oriented programming. That mission remains unchanged.
8. Call for dialogue, not threats
Language suggesting “or else” and labeling journalists as “thugs” or “war soldiers” is reckless and dangerous. If any individual or group has concerns about specific programs, the appropriate channel is engagement, right of reply, or formal petition not public threats.
Fa’ida Radio Mallam Madori rejects all unfounded accusations contained in the circulated statement. The station remains open to constructive dialogue, factual correction, and lawful complaint procedures. Democracy thrives on free but responsible media, not intimidation, misinformation, or political coercion.
At least as for benefit of doubt , we expect the three persons to first retrack the post and apologies for the allegation in the next ninety hours .
