President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has directed the Plateau state governor to an inclusiveness administration as a Cardinal Principle of the APC in all levels of Governance across the board.
President Tinubu, made the call and directive during a high-level dialogue meeting with Political, traditional and religious leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President emphasized that the Hausa/Fulani Community in Plateau remain indigenous of the state and therefore should be accorded inclusive status and equal opportunity as the indigene, without any segregation, stressing that sustainable peace and development in the state require fairness, inclusion and equal opportunities for all Communities.
The Jagaban stressed this while addressing a stakeholders meeting saying that, ” Include Hausa/Fulani in your Cabinet, they are among Plateau’s indigenous Communities. Give them meaningful positions, and recognize them as indigene of the state, the President said . ”
According to the President, every community that has contributed to the growth and stability of Plateau State deserves a sense of belonging and Participation in governance. He therefore urged the political leaders to rise above ethnic and religious divisions, emphasizing that inclusive leadership remains critical to achieving lasting peace and national Unity.
Mr president also called on traditional rulers, religious leaders and other stakeholders to continue supporting reconciliation efforts and promoting dialogue among the diverse communities in Plateau State.
The meeting was attended by Vice president Kashim Shattima, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Prominent traditional rulers from Plateau State, religious leaders which includes Shiek Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir, alongside other Political and Community stakeholders.
The dialogue formed part of ongoing consultations by the Federal Government aimed at strengthening, peace,Unity and inclusive governance in Plateau State, following years of recurring communal tensions.
President Tinubu further argued that , world over , ethnic chauvinism led to unthinkable destruction in Communities that traded on the ugly path. Observing that unimaginable colossal lives and property were destroyed over years in the State, that followed unleashed terror along the highway, and property worth Millions of Naira equally destroyed.
