Jigawa state Primary Health Care Development Agency in collaboration with Kano office of UNICEF has organized a one day seminar for Journalists in the state on routine polio immunization

The seminar was organised in Dutse to sensitise the participants on the role they are expected to play in the enlightenment campaign to make Jigawa state polio free
Resource persons focussed mainly on the need for media organisations to enlighten parents especially at the grassroot on the important and benefit of immunising children from zero to five years against poliomelitis and other childhood diseases for healthy growth
They said such enlightenment campaign should be by Radio jingles ,as well as delayed and live phone in programmes
Participants were drawn from both Print and Electronic media across the state
