Hadejia Local Govt Council Chairman Alhaji Ahmed Abba Ari has reaffirmed his administration commitments to strengthened support for security operations to ensure the continued protections of the life and properties of the people in his area.
The Chairman made this known while receiving the newly posted Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the Hadejia Police Area command at his office ,when he commended the Nigeria Police for it’s efforts in providing security in the local govt area.
Hon Yaro advised the senior police officer to foster collaboration among all security agencies operating in the area in order to collectively address security challenges particularly issues related to Farmer’s – herders conflicts as well as incident’s of theft troubling resident’s within and outside the municipal local govt
In his remarks,the new Assistant Commissioner of Police Nasiru Ahmed Abubakar reaffirmed his determinations to discharge his duties in accordance with the law and order to ensure lasting peace. He also called for the cooperation of the local Govt council Chairman to enable smooth operations while urging that security agencies be promptly informed on any situation that may pose a threat to security so that swift action can be taken.
Further more ACP Nasiru Ahmed Abubakar appealed to stakeholders and community leaders within the Area Command office to cooperate and support security agencies in order to ensure peace and security across the zone. He made this call during a stakeholders meeting organized by the Nigeria Police at Hadejia Divisional Police Office A and B Division which was attended by community leaders, stakeholders and representative of various local organization’s.
Nasiru Ahmed further reminded the public that security is a collective responsibility he therefore urged resident’s to work closely with security agencies and local organization’s vigilante group’s, particularly through regular patrol’s that appropriate measures would be taken against any wrong doing, advising general member’s of the public to provide confidential information about an unfamiliar or suspicious character seen loitering and encouraged Fulani herders and Farmers in the area to coexist peacefully and live in harmony
